As time goes by, so many survivors’ testimonies emerge for those who became martyrs in the recent massacre on the Syrian Coast (Martyr Amin Salloum)
And his martyr wife, Andy Salloum
They were martyred on 07/03/2025 – Baniyas, Al-Qusour neighborhood):
“The last time I spoke to mom was at 11:30 in the morning.” There was a very loud gunfire in the neighborhood. I told her to leave the house with dad.
She refused and said me and your dad are old what’s wrong with us? All we have is girls nothing to do with anything else Don’t worry bout us Me and your dad are going to sleep because we haven’t slept since last night, when I wake up I’m cooking beans for breakfast.
That day I was visiting my family (all night from 2am to 5am). Cars drove down the streets and shouted: “We are not your enemy.” Don’t be afraid. Stay at home. We’re here to protect you. “They have implanted trust in people’s hearts.
I called my mom at 1:30 but her line was disconnected and my dad hasn’t answered the phone. I got scared, so I called my older sister who also lives in Banias. She answered me crying and told me: “They killed our neighbor, Muhannad, his wife Lina Junoud, and his daughter, Manisa, who is 3 years old, and her mother (they live right across from my parents’ house), and she whom she knew nothing about.” about my family.
After about half an hour we were able to contact our Christian neighbor who lives in the same building. He came home and saw our father and mother killed outside their bedroom door.
Daddy was leaning against the wall and Mommy was sleeping next to him.
My father was a 73 year old retiree and my mother a 63 year old housewife. They never hurt anyone. My father and mother passed away on a Friday during the month of Ramadan while they were fasting. “
