Leaks indicate that the Grand Mufti of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad Hassoun, has fallen into a coma and suffered a severe health collapse after being subjected to severe torture and electrocution, leading to the failure of his kidneys. Meanwhile, the so-called General Security, affiliated with al-Julani, in Damascus, has remained tight-lipped about his whereabouts and has not allowed his family members to visit him, especially since his arrest came after the same authorities allowed him to travel outside Syria to continue medical treatment for a previous heart attack. We hereby appeal to all international and humanitarian organizations for urgent and swift intervention to save his life from certain death at the hands of the terrorists of the de facto authority in Damascus.
